100% of projects that fail, fail to manage a risk

We want to help your projects succeed; that's why we are creating 6risks.com. Our promise to make project risks more visible and easier to manage, freeing up your time to focus on delivery.
Please help us create 6risks.com by sharing one of your old and tired Excel project risk templates. In return, we will give you early access and three months free subscription when we get off the ground in December.

Our Philosophy: Keep it simple; make it visible

You've probably heard that 50% of IT projects fail. We don't know if that's true, but what is certain; every project that fails, fails to manage a risk. At 6risks.com we are people that like to get results quickly, we fail fast and fail often. We support and guide each other rather than directing and micromanaging. We know from experience that this...

Modern business culture has become very good at sharing success and celebrating failure. But managing risk is often left to solely the Project Manager, Scrum Master or Product Owner. Project risks are filed in a spreadsheet and rarely discussed, except at project governance meetings or when sh#t hits the proverbial fan. We believe that risk management needs to become part of project team culture.

Management of risk (both project and business) could take a leaf out of the Workplace Health and Safety Manual. In most workplaces, Health and Safety has become embedded in the culture. Its evolved from a simple hazard register locked in a drawer, to a new (and safer) way of working, where teams look out for themselves and each other. At 6risks.com we believe that project (and wider business) risks do not have to be the "poor cousin" to workplace health and safety. Through simplicity, visibility and shared ownership of risk, our aim is to help you change the risk culture in your project and business, ensuring you can fail fast, fail small and succeed big.

I exist to create
customer-driven technologists,
this is my
"WHY"

I exist to create customer-driven technologists, this is my "WHY". In my time in the technology field, I’ve seen a lot of disfunction. A common problem is siloed business and IT teams causing delivery of a poor internal technology product or experience. As a business leader first, and a technology leader second, I’ve tried to break down these silos and develop more cooperative cultures. Unsatisfied with just nurturing the culture of a single team, I’ve co-founded 6risks.com to develop solutions that enable improved business process and positively impact team culture. Simple, transparent and team-driven risk management is the first step in this journey of cultural transformation.

I've always been fascinated by technology and how it can make people's lives better in so many ways. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to gain the knowledge and improve the skills in distinct areas of technology such as software development, business intelligence, and data science, by working together with enterprises of many countries and dimensions. At 6risks.com, I've seen the possibility to apply that knowledge to do something significant with the purpose of enhancing how people and teams work together to manage project risks, and assisting them in achieving success.
